AcademiX 2009 is a series of four conferences held during the spring of 2009. Organized by Apple and MacLearning.org, these regional events focus on all aspects of emerging digital learning environments, including the democratization of content creation, new tools for distribution (such as iTunes U), mobile devices, collaborative solutions, and others. Beyond the technology itself, the regional AcademiX conferences highlight the work necessary for the deployment and support of technology and successful strategies for faculty and administrative engagement, while focusing on the appropriate use of technology to enhance pedagogy and scholarship.
Attendees connect with their colleagues at one of four regional conferences focused on spurring change in teaching and scholarship beyond the LMS. Presentations cover innovations in digital content creation, new tools and services for distribution such as iTunes U, mobile learning devices like the iPhone and iPod Touch, and more.
All sessions include practicable information focused on deploying and supporting emergent digital learning environments and strategies for engaging faculty and administrators.
