Since September 2004, Scott has worked in Apple's Education division where he has focused on creating strategic marketing initiatives driving and highlighting Higher Education innovations with Apple technologies. He is the principal Apple Education liaison to professional end-user communities MacEnterprise.org (IT focus), MacLearning.org (Instructional Technologists and Faculty), and MacResearch.org (Research Scientists). Scott also facilitates Apple's University Executive Forum comprised of 40+ Hi-Ed CIOs. Until recently, Scott served in various capacities as an Apple representative within several specifications and standards groups (e.g., IMS, OKI, SIFA), and Internet2. Scott started at Apple in 2000 in the Worldwide Developer Relations group where his responsibilities included managing Apple’s relationships with Independent Software Vendors spanning E-Learning, Communication/Collaboration, Enterprise, and Database solutions. Prior to Apple, Scott was a Ph.D. candidate in the department of communication at The Ohio State University as well as an Instructional Systems Designer in the College of Education at OSU. He lives in Sunnyvale, CA with his wife Reiko, his 3 year old son Donovan, and their dog Max, a pitbull-lab mix.
