Apple has released a new Podcast Producer 2 Workflow Tutorial. More than a simple guide to creating a workflow with Podcast Composer, this PDF-based tutorial takes you step by step through creating Quartz Composer compositions and a Compressor encoder that you can use with Podcast Composer.

In this tutorial, Quartz composer is used to build the typical media compositions used in a Podcast Producer 2 workflow: a fade transition, bumper title, overlay title, and dual source.

Answering a call from the user community, Apple describes how to build a custom compressor encoder as well.

This tutorial also shows you how to manually expand workflows and use the new Xgrid retry functionality by taking you step by step through creating a sample transcription service.
