It's been a long, strange trip, and I think even those who believe most in me, my family, are still pinching themselves as to the reality of my career choice. However, I believe that being a student who struggled to make education a priority in high school serves me well as a high school English teacher. I've worked in several school districts in differing capacities, but I believe my place is in the classroom: it's where I can make the most difference and work collaboratively for change with my peers.
