Ryan Ingersoll commented on Ryan Ingersoll's article: I also think it would beneficial to include an app update mechanism as well. Moving over to OS X devices, this would be great in PM to manage paid apps as well. It further paves the way for BYOD movements.

in the topic Can the iPod Touch replace Flip (and others)? in the forum iOS and Apps in Education
Our library lends Flip video cameras for students to capture footage for various course assingments (and whatever they want). We have two aging first gens and four second gens. I am considering investing in three of four iPod Touch (current gen) to suppliement (and replace) the Flips.   I am curious if anyone has any experience with the devices specifically for video and audio capturing. We have an iPad 2 that we check out and it seems to work well. However, it is much more expensive.   Also, anyone have experience with these new iOS microphones? http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/mic.php http://tascam.com/product/im2/ http://www.bluemic.com/mikey_for_ipod/   Thanks, Ryan Ingersoll

in the topic Best case/bumper for iPhone 4S in the forum All Things Considered
Hi Chris, I have an InCase Slider (http://goincase.com/products/detail/slider-case-cl59667). I had it for my iPhone 4 and still use it for my new iPhone 4S. It does a great job protecting the device and doesn't get stuck in my pocket (like silicone ones). I even fell down some stairs, landed on my phone, and the case protected the phone (the case suffered with a few cracks, but still usable. Amazon.com usually has good prices.
